Virginia Wedding

Filed under: Weddings — Administrator @ 11:36 am

As I mentioned the other day I had the pleasure to fly out to Richmond Virginia and photograph the wedding of Britten and Dave with Mark Gardner.  It was a wonderful wedding.  Britten was one of the most expressive brides I have ever had the opportunity to work with.  Their reception was an outdoor event with a live band and everyone just had a great time.  They area wonderful couple and I wish them all the best.

New York

Filed under: News and Info — Administrator @ 1:52 pm

I recently was in New York for a couple days visiting some friends and attending the Photo Plus Expo before I went down to Richmond Virginia for a wedding with Mark Gardner Photography. The morning of the first day I was there the weather was beautiful, but unfortunately by that afternoon it started to change. By the time I made it to Time Square it had turned rainy and miserable. Oh well I couldn’t let that stop me so I grab a couple shots anyway. I love going to New York. it is such a busy city, but it still has so much character. I have been pretty fortunate to travel around the world and there are not many places like New York City. If you have never been there you have to go at least once in your life, especially with a group of friends. A bunch of photography junkies in the big apple, good times.

Traveling Shovel goes to Iraq

Filed under: News and Info — Administrator @ 9:26 pm

Well as you can see I am back from my tour in Iraq.  Being a military photojournalist over there was an interesting experience.  I guess the biggest thing I can say about it is it was HOT!.  During the hot part of the summer it got up to 145+ in the sun for close to a month.  When I left the beginning of October it was still in the 110 area.  I will never complain about Vegas heat again.  It is good to be home and done.  It will be a long while before I have to go again if ever.

While I was there Joel Wiebner of the Wiebners photography mailed over the traveling shovel to me.  For those of you that may not know the story John Michael Cooper of Alt F did a bridal shoot out in the desert here in Las Vegas and used a shovel.  Well Joel bought that shovel and took it home with him to Pennsylvania on the plane and took pictures the whole way.  Well it developed an idea to send the shovel to all our friends around the world to take pictures with it.  So that is what we have been doing.  You can view the latest images by going to The Traveling Shovel web site.  It is actually a lot of fun to follow him traveling around the world.  He may get to go to a lot of places and be photographed by a lot of photographers, but I am the only one that can say I survived a war zone with him.  Here are a few of my pics.

Chris and Lisa Come to Vegas

Filed under: Weddings — Administrator @ 12:26 am

Well this is the first post on my new blog and it is a fun one. I had the pleasure of working with a great couple from Houston, Texas that came into Vegas to get married. They did their ceremony at one of our little local chapels and wanted to run around town and do some fun shots. Chris and Lisa were very outgoing and we had a lot of fun. We went by the famous Neon Boneyard and used some of their great old signs there. Lisa also wanted to do a Trash the Dress session so we stopped off at Caesars Palace and she jumped in the fountain to get some great shots. It is easy to love your job when you get to work with such fun and energetic people. Texas Wedding

Filed under: Weddings — Administrator @ 11:20 am

I traveled down to San Antonio, Texas to photograph Kara and Matt for their wedding earlier this year. Now that I have a new blog up and running I just wanted to post a few of the images. Kara is my sister and married Matt who is a local police officer. It was a small and intimate ceremony compared to some of the ones I attend here in Las Vegas.  As you will see I can’t even get away from Elvis in Texas.  I wish Kara and Matt all the best and as much love as I can give them. They will have a great future together and I am glad I was there when it all started.
