I had to do some Christmas/School pics of my kids so I turned my garage into a makeshift studio. Yeah I know, “and your just now uploading them way to keep the blog up to date”. Anyway, I brought out a couple popup backdrops and set up my studio lights. I even rigid a Canon 580EX flash with a snoot and set it up overhead as a hair light. All in all I think they came out pretty well. I wouldn’t be able to do large groups of families or anything in there, but if I had to do individual head shots, pinups, maternities, or children I now know I have a place to do them indoors. What do you think?

I have a high school senior who is working as an intern at my Radio and Television studio this year. We got together and went out and did a senior session recently. As with all my sessions we had a lot of fun. If you know her make sure to ask her about Beyonce. I tried some different lighting with a couple of her shots and I think they came out well. Here are a few from the session.

I photographed Chelsey for her senior session a while back. She was fun to work with and we got some really nice shots. I love going on location to do photo shoots. Shooting in a studio is great, but I like the different scenery and lighting challenges when shooting outside. I feel like your subject can be more relaxed and a little looser during the shoot as well. If you have the right equipment and experience you can even make shots look like they were taken in the studio. We did her cap and gown shot outdoors and I think it came out rather well. Below are some shots from the session.

Alexandra’s mother contacted me and took me up on a free high school senior portrait session promotion I was having. Alexandra enjoys playing the violin so I had her bring it along with her to use in some shots. We had a blast playing around and getting some great shots. I posted a few of them below for you all to enjoy. I wish her all the best in her last year of high school. It’s almost done Alex, enjoy it.

Well I recently got the chance to get the camera in my hands again when I did some photos for the Yoakum family before they moved back to the States. They just wanted to go out and get some shots in an Italian town before they went back. It took a little bit to get our schedules to match up, but once we did I think we got some great shots. They were fun to work with and I wish them all the best as they move on.

Well I haven’t posted any family photos, well other than my kids, in a long time so I thought it was time to get off my lazy rear and get some fresh images up. These are some photos I took a while back of the Mascaro family. It was a great little shoot in an Italian vineyard. What gets better than that? They have moved since we did the photos. I hope they are doing well.

Well we didn’t like how the school pictures came out this year so I took the kids out front and did them myself. Yes it is hard to take a good photo of a photographer’s child. We tend to be a little picky, but trust me they were extremly cheesy. Anyway I thought I would post a couple on here for friends and family back in the states to view.

As you can probably tell if you are a regular to my blog I do not usually do a lot of promotional work. However, while I was in Corpus Christi I had the chance to do some photo work for David Lewis. We took a few shots of David and his assistant just to promote David Lewis Architecture. David is a very successful architect and specializes in churches, small commercial projects, custom residential work, and works throughout Texas. If you are in need of a quality architect in Texas I highly suggest you look him up; David Lewis.

I shot these a while back, but I am just getting the chance to get them uploaded. Jillian was wonderful model to work with. She had a great spirit and it came out in her poses. I am sad I left Las Vegas. I would have loved to do more work with her. We played around at the Red Rock Casino in Las Vegas for a while and got some wonderful images. Here are just a few of them.

Well it has been a long time since I have posted anything. I am finally all settled over here in Italy. My computer is all set up and operational, so now it is time to get caught up on a few items I did before I left Vegas. First I am going to post a session I did with a friend of mine’s daughter. She has been taking acting classes and needed a few shots so we went out and played around outside and in the studio. I think they came out well. Please take a look and let me know what you think. I will be back with more soon.
